Android History:
The android was first founded by Andy Rubin and his three friends in 2003. The initial plan of Andy Rubin was to develop an operating system for digital cameras, but shortly he realized that the market for digital cameras is too small so he decided to pitch Android as a hand-held device operating system. But with this idea, he could not impress any investor and Android was near to being shutdown. In fact, Rubin had to search for money from one of his friends so that he could pay rent for the office space. His friend gave him money and this money was the turning point in Android history. It brought Android back on track and in 2005 Google Inc purchase Android and Andy Rubin also joined Google as a part of this acquisition.
Android is the nickname of Andy Rubin which was given by coworkers because of his love for robots. In 2007, Google announces the development of android OS and in 2008, HTC launched the first android mobile.
